french linen pillow covers Add Holiday Cheer to Your Guest Bedroom funny cushion covers

During the holidays, it’;s all about going home and making memories with the people?you love. Or in some cases, it’;s about the people your love?visiting your home! If you’;re hosting family or friends this holiday season, we suggest?making your guest bedroom feel like a festive retreat. After allfrench linen pillow covers, they’;ve been traveling and are away from their own nest, so they deserve their own space that?feels extra cozy and special.

A neutral foundation is a smart way to begin any bedroom because it gives you the flexibility to refresh things down the road without having to totally reboot your color scheme. We chose?an upholstered headboard in our Document Brown fabric, classic wooden nightstands, and an upholstered bench at the end of the bed for suitcases. Most of the year in this bedroom, we’;ll use a simple linen duvet cover for a classic look, but for the holidays it’;s fun to spice things up a little!

With a couple of simple?changes, you can?make your guest bedroom feel really special for your traveling friends and family. To our neutral bedroom, we simply added some shams in Suzanne Kasler’;s Mackenzie plaid, and we swapped our bedskirt from linen to plaid to coordinate.

For seriously cold nights, it’;s hard to beat our Lucca Velvet bedding which is so warm and unbelievably luxurious. Since they complement Suzanne’;s plaid so beautifully, we chose to add in an extra quilt and shams.

The festive touches don’;t have to stop with your accents of plaid! We hung some mistletoe over our Cassidy mirror for another little touch. Then we put some holly in the vase on the bedside table.

We think your houseguests will thank you for creating such a special nest for them while they’;re away from their own homes. And the best part is that all you need is a pair of shams and a bedskirt. Clip some greenery from your yard, and your guest bedroom has holiday cheer that could turn any grinch around!

There are many, many different silhouette options for a petticoat; this is just one which happens to be very suitable for a 1960s bell shaped silhouette.

This year we introduced you to Christina “Chris” Waters, the president, CEO and Founder of RARE Science. Chris is a delight to work with. She’s incredibly smart, full of energy, and passionate about the work her organization has been doing to find therapies and resources for children stricken with rare diseases. BERNINA shares in Chris’ vision to see to it that every child with a rare disease is presented with their very own Rare Bear. The RARE Bears bring support at many levels—they bring joy to kids and support parents. RARE Science?also helps bring awareness of specific rare disease world-wide to help with diagnoses and building patient communities. By doing this the team?can start to understand the cause of the disease on the way to finding more immediate help for these special kids. We started out in October 2016 by donating a BERNINA 215 Simply Red?sewing machine for the Beary RARE Event at the International Quilt Festival in Houston. To sweeten the prize, our very own Director of Education, Connie Fanders, made a BEAR-NINA that was delivered along with the machine to its lucky winner.
